British designer Fiona Howard has worked over the past twenty five years building her reputation for designing fabrics and wallpapers. Based from her Brighton studio she serves her clients in Europe and the Americas. While her most famous current creation has to be the modern classic “Dandelion Clocks” produced for Sandersons, she also creates designs for Chicago based Crate and Barrel, Scandinavian homeware chain Ikea as well as UK companies John Lewis, Marks and Spencer and Habitat. Her designs are normally inspired by nature using vibrant colours combined with traditional techniques such as lino cut, paper cut and monoprint. The “Think Rugs” collection is a fine example of Fiona’s style and available for your home. The use of colours on a cream ground with a fabric blended in wool and viscose to give the surface texture added vibrancy.
