San Marco, Abbey Road is a modern stripe designed coloured in grey and light beige it's an indoor / outdoor flat weave rug that can be used anywhere in the home. Flatweave rugs are very thin with a tactile interwoven construction that brings out very interesting pattern combinations. The polypropylene face yarn is extremely durable and stain resistant making this style of rug ideal for heavy traffic areas such as halls and kitchens. The properties of the design and construction also make the style of rug ideal for under dining tables and to give vitality to sun rooms, conservatories and outside, your patio.

Flatweave rugs produced using a stain resitant polypropylene fibre are extremely thin yet very durable. Making them the perfect partner for areas in the home such as conservatories, halls and kitchens where easy maintenance overrides underfoot comfort. But they also look great in other areas of the house too.

So, what makes this an indoor / outdoor rug?

Most machine made flat woven rugs have a decorative polypropylene face, woven into a cotton and jute backing. While conventionally cotton and jute are ideal for rug manufacture, they will readily absorb moisture which isn’t great for outside and wet areas. The Alfresco range of flatwoven rugs is woven using durable, stain resistant, rot proof polypropylene yarns throughout the face and backing meaning you can happily use the rug indoors or outdoors. While we don’t recommend leaving the rug out in the rain, a little moisture isn’t going to do any lasting damage
