Taj Abad
Hand knotted rugs and carpets take many months to weave, because they are woven by entirely hand each rug is unique. The wool yarn is cut from the sheep, dyed using vegetable dyes and spun hand. The rug is meticulously woven to the desired design using a Senneh knot. After the weaving it is then painstakingly washed with spring water to remove excess yarn and dyes. It is then left in the sun to dry, this will also fade the rugs vibrant vegetable dyed colours.
A Persian rug should give you many years of service and can become an heirloom that can you can pass to generations. Generally older rugs offer more appeal to the ardent collectors whilst newer rugs appeal to the home decorator
